November 4, 2013

The weather this early November has been fairly mild with temps in the high 60s with an occasional snow shower or two planned to hit early this week.

Most of the golden fall foilage has dropped but the ever present evergreens will greet you with their magnificent blue and green colors helping to bring in and complement the holiday season.

Colorado is home to many species of evergreens. Just to name a few : The Bristlecone Pine, Colorado Blue Spruce, Douglas-Fir, Engelmann Spruce, Limber Pine, Lodgepole Pine, Piñon pine,  Ponderosa Pine, The Rocky Mountain Juniper, Subalpine Fir and The White Fir.

Some of our fellow Coloradans are cultivating another green species which will be available over the counter in Pueblo, Colorado starting January 1, 2014, but that’s a whole different story.

Our friends at Tripadvisor have put together a host of activities and sites to visit in our beautiful state of Colorado. So, I thought I would share the link since it encompasses so many interesting places.
